Menteng sunday Schools
Menteng
Our Menteng Sunday School caters for children who have had their 4th Birthday—up to about 12 years. Children begin in church with their parents at 9am and leave after the first part of the service.
At present we have classes for 5-8 year olds, and for 8-12 year olds. Sunday School normally operates in term time.
Classes are conducted in the nearby Sunday School rooms. The teachers are volunteers from the congregation.
South Jakarta
Our South Jakarta Sunday School caters for children from about age 3 through to about age 12. Children begin in church with their parents at 10:30am and join their group after the first part of the service. Sunday School operates each Sunday except family service and school holidays.
At present we have classes for three or four different age groups. Classes are conducted in the nearby School rooms. The teachers are volunteers from the congregation.
Admission to Communion
Children can be admitted to Holy Communion before they are confirmed if they have been baptised, if they express a desire to do so, and if their parents and the minister think they are ready. Usually preparation which involves the parents is required. Please speak to one of the ministers at church if you would like to know more.
Confirmation
Confirmation is available for adults or older young people each year when the bishop comes. Normally preparation is done during the first half of the year. If you are interested in Confirmation, please speak to one of the ministers at church.
Adult Ministries
Bible Study Groups
We have a variety of small Bible Study groups which meet in various parts of Jakarta both at night and during the day. If you would like to be part of one of these groups, please contact us.
Women’s Breakfast
Women from All Saints meet approximately every two months for breakfast. Apart from excellent food and fellowship the breakfast usually includes a talk. The main idea is to encourage women in their Christian life. For information about the next breakfast, please contact us.
Men’s Breakfast
This is normally held on the second Saturday of each month in one of Jakarta's hotels from 7.30am until 9.00am. Most months we have a speaker and sometimes we discuss some topic of concern to the men who come.
Anyone is welcome to come. There are sign up sheets at church, or you can just turn up. The cost is Rp. 100,000 for a cooked breakfast. For information about the next breakfast, please contact us.
Counselling
General, pastoral, marriage and relationships counselling is available from All Saints. All counselling is confidential. Contact one of the ministers for more information.
Other Activities
Our other activities include pot luck lunches, prayer meetings, retreats, family picnics, Alpha Courses, special study programs, and marriage preparation classes.
