Marriage at All Saints

Marriage at All Saints

All Saints conducts Christian marriage services according to the ceremonies of the Anglican Church.  All Saints is a church with a ministry to the English speaking community, especially expatriates.

The following information may help people who are thinking about asking to be married at All Saints.

  • Normally the couple being married should be members of All Saints.

  • If neither is a member of All Saints

  •  If one or both of the couple belong to another church they must ask their pastor to marry them.

  •  If one is an Indonesian citizen and the other is a foreigner they must ask an Indonesian church to marry them.

  • When All Saints conducts the marriage then:

  • Normally two months notice is required

  • The couple must desire Christian marriage not just a church wedding.

  • Both must speak English.

  • Both must belong to the Christian religion

  • Pre-marriage preparation of the couple together is required

  • Registration of the marriage under Indonesian law takes place with the Catatan Sipil, usually after the church ceremony.

  • Foreigners must supply a letter from their Embassy saying that there is no impediment to their proposed marriage.

  • Marriages are not possible on Sundays.
